Dissertation & Thesis Coaching

A dissertation stalls for the same handful of reasons: an unclear research question, a committee that gives feedback faster than you can act on it, or simply no one checking in between meetings with your chair. I provide that missing structure, personally, from proposal through defense.

I hold an Ed.D. from UCLA and have spent my career on the research and writing side of higher education, including co-founding College Bridge and advising on curriculum and research design across K-12 and higher ed. I know what a defense committee is actually looking for, and I know how to get a stalled draft moving again.

What coaching covers

  • Structuring or restructuring an argument that's lost its throughline

  • Working chapter by chapter, or section by section, on your actual timeline

  • Preparing responses to committee feedback so revisions move forward instead of circling

  • Defense preparation: anticipating questions and rehearsing responses

  • Editing at the sentence and structural level, not just grammar

Who this is for

Doctoral and master's candidates who are ABD, mid-draft, or stuck, and who want sustained, one-on-one accountability rather than a single editing pass. I work with a limited number of candidates at a time so each one gets consistent attention.

FAQ

Do you write any part of the dissertation for me?

No. I coach structure, argument, and revision. The research and writing are yours; my role is making sure the work reflects your thinking as clearly and rigorously as possible.

I'm stuck between chapters and my advisor is slow to respond. Can you help with that specifically?

Yes, that's one of the most common reasons candidates come to me. I can review your latest chapter and committee notes and help you plan the next concrete step.

Do you work with candidates outside Florida?

Yes. Most sessions are conducted remotely regardless of location.
